About this site Welcome to Jim Karpen .Com. This site primarily contains articles written for my monthly Computer Frontiers column in the Iowa Source magazine, which I've been writing since 1994. I've been interested in the revolutionary consequences of computer technology ever since writing my Ph.D. dissertation in 1984 at Bowling Green State University. It was a study of the "digitzed word" and anticipated some of the changes that have taken place with the Internet. |
